Ahhh! The days and weeks are actually going by suprisingly fast here, I thought my summer was going to tick by painfully. It's all because of steel drum, this past week we've been practicing 4 hrs at a time. My heels hurt sooo much afterwards, i go straight from 8 hrs of work to 4 hours of straight standing while we practice , i rly want to bring a stool. Thursday it was worse, because i went an hour early because my section all wanted to go over this new music tgether, so it was 5 hrs straight from 4-9 and i didn't een get dinner. I was out of the house from 6.30am till 9.30pm...Ah! But, it is fun and next weekend hopefully we'll do pretty damn well at the competition in Montreal.

Anywho, normally I only seem to find news that depresses me. This story, however, had a very nice ending.

wow...

since leavin rochester, things have both been incredible great, and extremely unnerving and stressful..
Going to nyc was awesome, kinda hard to believe my brother is out of college, although i can't complain about the graduation parties that some columbia/barnard students have. Especially when they're on the top of buildings with outdoor swimming pools and everything. And seeing old friends in both nyc and CT was fantastic, not to mention the fact that the weather was great. Got to stop at harvard and brown and see old exey buddies as well. Hadn't seen Buddha or Yoo in ages, was wonderful to catch up with them. Hopefully will be able to see everyone at the exeter graduation and after..

My brother's and his girlfriend'f friends were up for 3 days after their graduation to chill, and it was great to hang out with them.

But man this past week has been solid rain.. and i have to start work soon.. and i really could use some sunshine. There's just been too many going on which seem to have countered all the socializing and fun, or too many realizations i wish didn't exist... i dunno. Work will actually be nice, keep my busy, and give me a routine.

Feels so great to be home! Had a fantastic time in Boston monday night, return of the kings extended edition is sooo long, i never seem to end up sleeping in the right spot, hehehe. Ended up on the futon of some people i didn't really know, but it was all well worth it. Got home last night, drove up with my brother and some family friends coming from new york. It's great to have my whole family here together, which is now becoming increasingly rare it seems. Today went for a nice walk down to the beach with my brother and sister and of course my dog, who i had missed soo much. Grades turned out rlly well, which i'm happy about. Had a long ass talk about healthcare, social security, and general state of social morals and values and what can be done etc over dinner with the family and peter and mary (the family friends). After dinner i played scrabble with Mary, which has become a tradition between us (She has kinda been my second mom through out life). The last round, all the letters were used (the blanks are missing) and it was tied 217. I was tearing my hair out thinking i was going to get crushed at the end, but i managed to play CONFESS, which using all 7 letters (50 extra points), going out first (she had to deduct the letters she had left), and the fact that i formed Scraps with my first S tacked onto craps, kinda brought me out on top. So yeh i get rly excited about scrabble, especially an ending like that. hehehehehehe. But that was lucky, and she generally kicks my ass in the game. Buuut it feels soooo great to be home, i can't even begin to explain. Although my nonstop thinkin about things doesn't seem to end. Even here, sleeping down in front of the fire with a dog at my feet, it took me atleast an hour to fall asleep thinkin about traveling, work, whether to work now and over spring break, classes, what to do for the summer, where to be, to take classes, what to do for a job, whether take 5 is a good idea, whether goin abroad is a good idea, what i'll do after college, and general What If? questions about every aspect of life including transferring. But tmrw i have to start making my secret santa present for my little cousin, and cousins and family should be arriving. And this Christmas looks to be especially promising (altho i wasn't home for Santa Lucia, or the winter Solstice, when we make a fire down on the beach at sunrise and celebrate the return of the sun in a truelly kickass pagan fashion, hehehee) So yeh, Happy Holidays to Everyone, Happy Christmachannahkwanzaka, and all that good stuff!
